Alexander honors Dr. Dagney Faulk with the Circle of Corydon
STATEHOUSE (Sept. 28, 2026) — State Sen. Scott Alexander (R-Muncie) recently honored Dr. Dagney Faulk with the Circle of Corydon for her two decades of work as a professor, researcher and leader in the Muncie community.
The Circle of Corydon is presented to Hoosiers who have made remarkable contributions that have bettered Indiana, as well as demonstrated qualities like those of Indiana's greatest citizens.
"It was an honor to present this well-deserved award to Dr. Dagney Faulk and acknowledge her many years of devoted service to Muncie and our state," Alexander said. "Her dedication and longtime support for her community exemplifies everything the Circle of Corydon represents."
Dr. Faulk served in the faculty and as staff at both Indiana University Southeast and Ball State University and has received multiple awards at both campuses for her distinguished service, publications and cutting-edge research.
Following her teaching and research at IU Southeast, Dr. Faulk took her sabbatical leave to serve with Indiana's Legislative Services Agency and is today working on the Revenue Forecast Technical Committee.
In addition to her work at universities, Dr. Faulk found time to serve as PTO president at West View Elementary, as president of the MCS Basketball Boosters, started the Muncie Community Schools Education Foundation and was president of the Mid-Continent Regional Science Association.
"Dr. Faulk has had a truly impressive career and continues to be a committed leader in Muncie," Alexander said. "She is a great representation of the best of Hoosiers, and our community is better because of her service and research."
